In questo luogo San Francesco d’Assisi dimorava durante le sue visite al Santo Padre, quando la Chiesa accolse il Poverello tra le sue braccia.

In questo luogo è custodita la “cella” dove Francesco si ritirava, tra i lebbrosi, nell’Ospizio benedettino di San Biagio.

In questo luogo Francesco trovò l’amicizia della nobile romana Iacopa de’ Settesoli, amica spirituale che gli fu vicina fino alla fine dei suoi giorni terreni.

In questo posto nel 2011 i Frati Minori della provincia hanno deciso di seguire i passi di San Francesco iniziando un'esperienza di convivenza con fratelli e sorelle senza una casa.

In questo luogo, I frati preservano la Biblioteca Provinciale, con una collezione di libri tra i più antichi di Roma.

In questo posto sono custodite le statue di Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Fra Diego da Careri, Francesco Salviati e una perfetta rappresentazione dello stile barocco romano.
