I traveled to Interlaken, Switzerland with Bus2alps in Fall 2019 and it was by far the best trip of my study abroad experience. I actually initially felt like one weekend in Switzerland would not be..... more »
tbh it just wasnt worth the money, I probably could have done the trip by myself for half the cost or even less more »
I went on one of their Naples day trips. First off, the guides were excellent! Nothing but enthusiasm and excitement to welcome us and show us around, and eagerly looked up answers to questions we had when they didn't readily know the answer. However, I was disappointed in the trip. I had been told multiple times by multiple workers of Bus2alps that I would be able to get to see an archaeological site near Naples, and I stressed that this was my sole purpose in going. They told me that they had looked it up and that it would work days before the trip. However, the day of, at lunch time, they again checked the details and realized that it wouldn't be possible. I could tell they were sincerely sorry, and they told me they'd set up a meeting for me with their boss so I could work out another trip to see the site or else get a refund. When I went into their offices in Trastevere, however, and explained who I was and what had happened, their boss seemed hesitant and began by slowly saying, "Well, the policy listed on our website is that we don't refund trips or guarantee you'll get to do anything that isn't on the trip's agenda;" however, another worker cut in, explained she had been there when I was promised I'd see the site, and that I'd get my money back. I was very grateful for this, as the woman in charged had seemed about to tell me I wouldn't get a refund. While their employees are very kind, I do not plan to book with this agency again. Additionally (and I stress this is hearsay), older 4-year students at my university have told me stories of extreme drunkenness by study abroad students on their spring break trips, and it sounded nightmarish.
