A 12th-century castle near the beach, Castello di Lerici once served as a military fortification. The journey here requires a bit of a hike, but you will find the view of the ocean from the top makes it worthwhile. Climb the castle's towers and explore each room. There's also a dinosaur museum inside for all ages. When you’re finished, don't miss the lake near the castle. I went to the castle of Lerici at the time of a short vacation. I walked 200 steps to climb to the entrance of the castle (there is also a lift available). THE structure has certainly been the subject of renovation a few years ago and the work done is still very well visible. Inside I found many works of painters and sculptors exposed to the public. To enjoy them as you should you should spend more time than I had available. The various venues were very well organized. Some of them remained exactly as at the time of when the castle was inhabited. From The terrace you can enjoy a truly unique panorama. You should stop to admire the show for hours and hours. I Would have climbed the tower overlooking the castle but it is not usable. Too bad! The visit was included in a program of events and the entrance was free. The staff here is courteous! It is the symbol of Lerici and it is essential to go to visit it!See original

Beautiful Castle with beautiful views of the sea. The Interiors used for exhibition spaces are free of furnishings. Uncomfortable to turn in a stroller and not accessible, despite an elevator that allows you to get in front of the manor directly from the port. Recommended for those who go to Lerici, perhaps to combine a stroll along the promenade and the historic center of the city.See original
