At Shree Shivchhatrapati Temple, see the sword that once belonged to a great Indian warrior king along with his footprints and palm prints. Located inside a historical fort on an islet in the Arabian Sea, the temple was built by the younger son of the ruler of the Maratha Empire Rajaram in 1695. Dried pieces of lime wood with the king's palm and foot prints are kept beneath two small domes near the gate to the tower. The main idol is carved out of black stone and represents the king in the kneeling Yogic pose called Virasana or Hero Pose.
