There are five toranas where Maharana Raj Singh and his descendants organized the annual event of Tuladan. This process of alms-giving was followed by Maharaja Raj Singh and his descendants. Also on the embankment of the lake are nine pavilions or 'nauchowki', which were constructed by Maharana Raj Singh. These beautifully carved pavilions are festooned with pictures of the sun, chariots, gods, birds and detailed carvings. The history of Mewar is inscribed in 1017 stanzas, on 27 marble slabs, that are called the Raj Prasasti. Awesome place to chill out. Long walk on the lakeside is quite refreshing. You could click some nice pics too. Better if you go at night, the lights and the fountain add a significant ambience to the place. In daytime you could go down and soak your feet at the ghat. There are 2-3 temples to visit as well.
peace place. and nice view
