Soak up the views from the highest point of the Nilgiri mountain range at Doddabetta Peak. At a height of 2,637 m (8,650 ft), the peak looks out across Ooty and, on very clear days, ensures vistas of the distant plains of Coimbatore. Hike or take a taxi to the top, where an observatory provides two viewing stations for the public. Plan to visit early to avoid long queues along the road.     It's an ordinary view point. I wonder why this place comes in top visiting places in Ooty when searching in the web. Food provided in the canteen was pathetic. No water in the toilets. Avoid this...  more »

    A decent peak, nothing much special. Remains mostly covered in clouds and thus the views aren't much special. It's better to visit during day time and not close to sunrise and sunset, so that there is less clouds and the views can be better

    Beautiful peak, nice look and awesome scenic beauty all around. During sunset it is awesome. The view from the telescopic view point is mind blowing and charming. It's a nice place to enjoy with friends or family and pass some hours in the midst of the nature.
