If you're in/near Chikmaglur, you must visit - Chennakesava temple in Belur, Hoyasala temples in Halebidu and Veeranarayanaswamy temple in Belavadi. All 3 are reasonably close and you can reach each..... more »

Absolutely beautiful. This temple is a architecture marvel in itself. The inner sanctum of the temple is filled with art and stories. Outer walls captured so many of beautiful art work on soap stone. The famous depiction of Shiva, Vishnu and many poses of dancers are on these walls. Do visit this place to appreciate the beauty.

Very beautiful temple. A good place to visit for one day trips from Bangalore. You have to remove footwear before going in and it gets difficult to walk around in summer as the floor heats up. So carry socks for some relief. Apart from this the temple is really beautiful with intricate carving
