A popular destination for pilgrims, the monastery was originally built in the 9th century and has been extensively remodeled and rebuilt several times. • A must visit, when you're in Sighnaghi. Great history and beautiful architecture. The entrance will charge you 1 Lari for the bike (we cycled there from our hotel) Recommend it!

  • I suggest you visit this historical place. The place is very beautiful. I was lucky enough to visit this church during the snowfall and its beauty was even greater. The area is very beautiful. The structure of this building is very old and beautiful. This is where Nino's Holy Tomb is located.
  • Beautiful snow capped mountain views and lovely church buildings. St George church inside the monastery has amazing artworks that look to be centuries old. Also nuns here look after cats and dogs that are very friendly. Lastly even in mid November, there's a nice flower patch that is still blossoming despite the frost on it.
