Must see · Zoo · Zoo / Aquarium
Get up close to endangered wildlife in captivity at Zoo de Guyane, located within authentic Guyanese jungle. Recognized as the only zoo in Guyana, the institution shelters over 70 exotic (and mostly endangered) species, including pumas, jaguars, ocelots, anacondas, macaws, and iguanas. Trails through the jungle lead over suspended trees and among tall, shady canopies. The zoo enjoys a reputation for its highly responsible approach, though visitors who find the sight of animals in captivity upsetting should approach with caution.
