A symbol of Estonia's former Tsarist rulers, Aleksander Nevski Katedraali survived demolition and the state atheism of the Soviet Union and has since been restored to its turn-of-the-century glory. Visit the cathedral, finished in 1900, and seek out multiple cupolas built in classical onion-dome style. You can enter and explore the church's interior, complete with a series of mosaics, heavily decorated icons, stained-glass windows, and domed ceilings. Be sure to listen for the 11 huge bells hung in the cathedral towers, which you can hear ringing throughout much of Tallinn during the day. Beautiful, it sticks out like a sore thumb. It is an impressive and well built church it Somehow does not fit in with the ambience of old town. The inside is spectacular. From floor to ceiling its beautiful, the gold finishing makes it something worth remembering. Best thing about this is that the entry is free.

Its a very beautiful Russian Orthodox church, built in 1900s. The architecture is so attractive. Inside the building peoples pray, and the inside architecture is very beautiful. Its a must visit place in Old Tallinn. You can bring your kids here, photography is prohibited inside the church.
