Hike or hop on the back of a horse and ride through lush meadows and green forests of Bosques de Cocora while listening to hummingbirds. A six-hour round trail will take you through the valley, pass waterfalls and over suspension bridges. Rest at the top and take in the scenic views before you start descending towards the tall palm trees. The wax palm, native to these lands, grows as high as 60 m (200 ft) and represents the national tree of Colombia. The restaurant near the trout farm serves delicious local specialties.
