This church is impressive because it is an old one and it remained in the centre of the city (long time ago it was the margin of the city) surrounded by the new and high buildings. more »
A very nice and quiet place to pray
The church was built in the 17th century as a tribute to San Diego de Alcalá, a Franciscan brother who dedicated his life to sick care and worked miracles in the healing of them. The friar Luis improved religious community were the ones who bought the land of the hacienda to carry out the construction. In 1602 the monastery was baptized with the name that today is known San Diego.
