Step away from the busy streets of Santiago and relax at the riverside Parque Bicentenario. A favorite with the locals, this large park features three artificial lakes, vast green areas, jogging and biking tracks, playgrounds for the kids, and an outdoor gym. While taking a stroll, you can admire numerous sculptures and observe swans and flamingos that make their home here. Satisfy your hunger at the park's restaurant, or have a picnic on the grass. Throughout the year, the park provides a setting for various cultural happenings. Check online for events taking place during your visit. This is a nice oasis in the city. It was dedicated in celebration of the Chilean bicentennial. There are about 4000 trees in the park alongside the Rio Mapocho. there are pike paths, chaise lounges... more »
One of the best parks in Santiago, the best feature: open 24/7. Nice place to going for a walk, running, sports and yoga. Includes lagoons and a nice view to Santiago. There are plenty of parking places, but can be difficult to find one when events are held there.
Well kept, playgrounds for various age groups, several restaurants, exotic birds. Easy terrain, outdoor exercise equipment, unique to Chile, I believe. Santiago offers several very nice park options, including a cable car ride and a funicular. Dog friendly, non-smoking (sometimes ignored).
