Hike, bike, or picnic at Bois de la Cambre, a garden that feels like a wild place thanks to the irregular placement of trees and bushes. The park resembles English gardens, but was designed by a German architect. A number of outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, and even pony rides allow you to tour the attraction in an active way. Or, you can simply bring along a blanket and lunch on the lawns. Along the walking trails you'll find some of the ruins of early Brussels, and it is not uncommon to run into a group of eager children learning about the great outdoors.     This park is used as a short-cut to their work stations by the locals. There is a century old tree here. Have some respect. Plants are great.  more »
