Soup Bowl, Bathsheba

#4 of 8 in Things to do in Saint Joseph Parish
Beach · Hidden Gem · Nature / Park
A surfer’s heaven, Soup Bowl features soft golden sand, boulders sticking out of the water just off shore, a scenic hillside abundant with palm trees, and consistent waves produced by the wild waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. The popular surf spot is home to annual international and local competitions. With some luck you’ll spot beach crabs making their way across the sand. Make sure you bring food, drinks, and plenty of sunscreen, as there are no public facilities at the beach. • A great place to visit, be it a 20 minute stop as part of an island tour or somewhere to chill for a couple of hours  more »
  • Magnificent spot with huge waves for surfers! Great place to find a spot and watch the waves roll in and out!  more »
  • One of my favorite places on earth. The beauty, the surf and the culture. Nicest people you will ever meet.
  • Even more beautiful... the current lockdown makes one appreciate the beauty of nature even more. Clear blue skies and breathtaking views of the Atlantic.
