The Sydney Opera House stands as an icon of Australian architecture and one of the world's most instantly recognizable buildings. Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon and inaugurated in 1973, the Opera House earned UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 2007 for its unique appearance and engineering achievement. The multiple performance venues feature distinctive roofs of layered sails that look like seashells, and they reside on a peninsula jutting out into Sydney Harbour beneath Sydney Harbour Bridge. Snapping photos as you walk around the harbor represents one way to experience this landmark, but you can also enjoy one of 1,500 annual of performances inside. Start with a tour during the day, discovering some of the 1,000 rooms and listening to dozens of stories about the venue. In the evening, dine in one of the restaurants before taking in the opera, live music, or theater in one of its acoustically splendid rooms. Sydney Opera House is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our , online itinerary creator Edition.

Absolutely gorgeous building. The architecture is amazing. There is more to the structure than meets the eye. We arranged for a guided tour of the Opera House. The guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out the materials used, the siting of the building, practice rooms and so much more. A blend of Eye catching architecture and history. It's a beautiful place. Even on the rainy day the view from the steps is breath taking. The tour costs $40 per person and takes 1 hour to complete. The restaurant has wonderful vies of the scenery. It's perfect for a romantic date as well as for family. For those who do not want the tour inside, the outside is also a great place to spend some time with your loved ones, or just enjoy the bliss of solitude in a beautiful landscape.

The place is vibrant and appealing as there is a truly remarkable architectural monument to see with amazing views of the city. The musical events and performances are truly amazing and always there all around the year. Feel free to take photos of the house. In some areas around the Opera House, you are able to see the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We chose the Angus Steak which tasted great and was cooked very well. Great vibe and atmosphere.
