Kalleske Wines, Greenock

4.7
#2 of 7 in Things to do in Greenock
Winery / Vineyard · Food & Drink
In South Australia’s Barossa Valley, the Kalleske family have been farming and growing grapes since 1853 on their family estate at Greenock. After six generations of growing grapes, winemaker and seventh generation family member, Troy Kalleske, together with his brother Tony, established the Kalleske winery and made the first ‘Kalleske’ wine. The vineyard is low yielding with grapes grown organically and biodynamically and the winery is also certified biodynamic/organic. Wines from Kalleske have been seven generations in the making, but they are certainly worth the wait!

  • A excellent wine tasting with platter hosted with skill & attention by Sarah. Wide selection of wines & generous tastings. Lovely venue but a bit noisy with a inconsiderate group in front room.  more »
  • We did a short wine tasting at the bar and both found a bottle we liked which we enjoyed drinking later with dinner in our cottage accommodation.  more »

  • Was an added experience to be served by the great granddaughter and meet the great grandson on cellar door. Love the kalleske wines and can not wait for the delivery to arrive
  • Nice cellar door and a decent range of quality wine, some to quaff and some to put aside for an occasion.
