Come to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to feed Rainbow Lorikeets, a wildly colorful type of Australia parrot. Alex Griffiths originally founded the sanctuary in 1947 to prevent these birds from eating his flower plantation. Today, visitors provide twice-daily feeding to giant flocks of the free-flying parrots. Navigate on a Segway the rest of the 27 hectares (67 acres), where you can cuddle with koalas, hang out with kangaroos, and observe crocodiles and Tasmanian Devils. With our custom trip planner, Gold Coast attractions like Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Rude staff, dirty park. I expect a lot more from this sanctuary. Looks like they are understaffed and not maintaining hygiene and cleanliness of the overall park. Poor animals too, they are not well.....  more

  • We did breakfast with the koalas. Really enjoyable. Breakfast great quality and good serving size. Price includes entry to park. Staff were extremely helpful. Lots of interaction with the koalas...

  • We live in Melbourne. Great for Families with children. Make sure you arrive before 8 am or you will miss the bird feeding experience. Good animal shows and experiences. The miniature trains rides make a great way to get around as there is lots of walking to do. Over all a fun day out.
  • Always loved it. Been there over 7 times and never got bored. It is the place that I usually bring anybody that comes from overseas for the first time in Australia and wants to see the Australian wild life for the first time. Highly recommended. It is a must when you come to visit, especially for the first. Far better the most of the other zoos around.
