Within the park's modest 85.9 sq km (33 sq mi), stretching from inland southwestern Albania to the Ionian Sea, you'll see a wide range of sites, including ruins from the Bronze Age, Venetian castles, and a basilica. Butrint National Park is most probably the most interesting and amazing historical and archaelogical site in the whole of Albania. Leftovers of a once really big and ancient city just lies there for..... more »

Very nice national park. Very calm place, you can take a boat tour and go to the other side of the lake. We have taken and I definitely recommend it the Mussel tour. They take you to take mussels from the mussels farm, and than you are taken to a private part of the national park, where you cook the together and have a nice dinner with the calm of the lake. Also there is a lot more to explore in this national park. Definitely recommend.
The park is a great place to visit if you like to walk for a bit, they don’t have so much souvenirs and restaurants. There is a place outside that have really nice service. It’s very cheap to eat there to. You by like 7 euros for a meal. The entrance fee is the same. We enjoyed to walk there and take pictures. The history of the place is very interesting to.
